Part-II Architect / Designer

Company Description:

BTL Property is a South West London based design and build company working predominantly on residential refurbishments.

The Company was founded in 2002 and since then we have worked on hundreds of projects and have established ourselves as one of South West London's leading builders.

The design department is a small team currently lead by a fully qualified Architect (ARB, RIBA). We are currently looking to expand and grow the department to welcome new talented young Architects and designers. The design projects we carry out are predominantly London based, but not exclusively, and vary from extensions/refurbishments to basement constructions and new build properties.

This unique opportunity will get you exposed not solely to the design side but you will also be working closely with both our estimator and project management teams to experience the entire construction process from conception to delivery onsite.

The Role:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated full-time Part-II architect/ designer with UK based experience to join our team and be based in our new office in Wimbledon.

This person will be responsible for a range of tasks including the creation of quality design work and the development of projects from initial design right through to planning approval and build completion. Working closely with the design team as well as interfacing with clients. Work will include multiple residential projects of varying scales. This position is for full-time, in-house employment only.

Required skills and attributes:

·Highly self-motivated

·Fluent spoken and written English.

·Strong design/presentation skills to include renderings and hand drawing.

·Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, InDesign and Photoshop.

·Experience in residential projects, concept design and design development.

·The ability to work in a team confidently as an individual.

·Work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

·Good communication and interpersonal skills

·The ability to co-ordinate and multi-task across a number of projects.

·Able to follow instructions, as well as learn and work using your own initiative.

·Proven organisational abilities and consistent attention to detail.

·Full EU driving licence preferred.

·All legal permits and visas required to work in the UK.

Main responsibilities are (but not limited to):

·Property and site measured surveys.

·Producing plans/elevations/sections and other technical drawings in AutoCAD.

·Provide Photoshop and 3D representations of schemes when required.

·Liaise with clients throughout the design process, including meetings regarding design, planning, building control and party wall issues.

·Liaise with structural engineers and party wall surveyors.

·Prepare written documentation to form planning applications.

·Handover of completed design projects to BTL project manager for build.
